Time has washed away a lot of my memories.

However, the liberation shoes that once warmed me forward are firmly engraved in my mind...

In the late 1970s when self-awareness, no matter adults or children, as long as there is a pair of army green liberation shoes on the feet, it is a very happy thing.

I remember that in the winter when I was in the third grade of elementary school, I wore the toe caps of the pair of Jiefang shoes for more than a year. There was a hole the size of a toe in both the left and right shoes.

One evening, while the water was boiling to cool off, I cut two pieces of discarded bicycle inner tube film, and at the same time brought a small sickle and put it in the stove to burn. I pressed the film on the small hole of the Jiefang shoe with one hand, and held a red-hot sickle with the other, inserted it between the film and the small hole on the toe of the shoe, and heated it. The shoe rubber and tire rubber melted together, creaking and smoking. I pulled out the sickle abruptly, and pressed the film firmly with my fingers to fix it for a while, and the rotten toe was repaired for me.

In fact, in the countryside at that time, it was very common for many children like me to encounter it.

Children grow up physically and their toes break the toes of the shoes. If they can be mended, they continue to wear them. It was not until the soles of the shoes were worn out, or even broke in two, that they reluctantly threw them away.

Because in that era, it was really not easy to buy a pair of Jiefang shoes!

Jiefang shoes were bought and worn by ordinary people after the founding of New China.

Distribution tickets are not something that individuals can own casually. They are all coordinated by the state and distributed to the people in various places according to their needs. They are very precious.

Before the founding of New China, soldiers of the Eighth Route Army fought bloody battles wearing straw sandals and cloth shoes to drive out the Japanese invaders and went through untold hardships...

After the liberation of the whole of China, the country began to industrialize the production of its own daily necessities, which were planned to be pushed to the market and supplied to the people for sale to meet the needs of life.

Jiefang shoes are the product of this era.

The name of the shoe is resounding, linking the past and the future, with a sense of the times.

Since then, the cloth shoes worn by the ancestors have gradually withdrawn from the stage of history.

A pair of liberation shoes bears the flesh and blood of so many martyrs, is covered with so many vicissitudes that the land of China has experienced, and is woven with so many humiliations suffered by the Chinese nation. This will never be forgotten!

Therefore, people at that time could wear a pair of Jiefang shoes on their feet, which was heavy and warm.

Now, with the continuous improvement of people's living standards, shoes are constantly being updated with the times, and few people wear Jiefang shoes anymore.

However, no matter how the tide of the times rolls forward, we must not forget the way we came...

Jiefang shoes, in addition to confirming the development of an era, also carry many red memories, we must not forget it!
